STAMFORD

2/27 & 2/28  On Golden Pond  /  Curtain Call

Directed by Richard Mancini
Performs May 4 - 20 in The Dressing Room Theatre

Auditions will be held February 27 & 28.

The play is a classic American comedy/drama that's every bit as touching, warm, and witty today as when it
debuted on Broadway in 1979. Retired couple Ethel and Norman Thayer spend every summer at their home on
Golden Pond. This year, their adult daughter visits, bringing along her 13-year-old son. The turbulent relationship
between father and daughter, the generation gap between young and old, and the difficulties facing a couple in the
twilight years of a long marriage, all combine to give this play a unique insight into the modern family.

WATERTOWN

3/4  The Apostle  /  Films from the Treehouse

Dreams from the Treehouse, a New Production Company, is now casting for it’s new feature-length film, The
Apostle.  The Apostle is the story of the Second Coming of God’s Son in his teenaged years and his difficulties
found struggling to understand the power inside of him and the world around him. This is a coming of age film
more than it is a religious film.

SEEKING: Energetic, young, non-union actors; individuals who are out-going and not afraid to take a chance. Must
appear to be under 17 years old. Seeking males only for the following roles:

Eli: a teenage boy, who is struggling just to get by, He is not a social star and wishes just to get through the day
without causing a major upset. Genuinely good-natured. Stay on the sidelines and focuses on things that he can
control. He meets Lucas and suddenly the weight of a weary world is tossed unsuspected onto Eli’s shoulders.
He must struggle mightily to cope with the Son of God.

Ryan: a teenage boy with a winning smile and a gift for gab. He is always looking for a better angle on a situation.
He is loud and given to emotional outbursts. He is not a leader or a popular boy. Rather a friend of a friend.
Worries about fitting in. Seems to be left out of the elite group because they view him as a loud hanger on.

Tommy: Comes across as very serious. He sees into people and finds the soul quickly. He wants to follow Lucas
after a somewhat violent confrontation with him. Understands that Lucas is extremely special. Passionate and
driven.

Mike: A grown up in a teenage body. Popular kid who sees opportunity when it presents itself. Weighs the pros and
cons of any situation before he responds. He is calculating and frank. He is a needed antagonist. Lucas needs
Mike as much as Mike needs Lucas.

*Please note that both Lucas (Christ character) and Genevieve have been cast*

WHERE: March 4, 2012. 1:00 – 4:00. Auditions will be held at The Taft School, 110 Woodbury Road Watertown, CT
06795.

PAY: Compensation/salaries will be in consideration during auditions. There is no set pay. Small per diem on
travel days.

WHAT TO DO: If you are interested in auditioning please email your name, age, which role(s) you are interested in
and headshot and resume to thetreehousefilms@gmail.com. We will email you sides to prepare for the audition.
