Neighborhood Music School adds new classes for Spring 2012.
Thursday, January 5, 2012
Registration is now open.

New Haven, Conn. (Jan. 4, 2012) –A new semester at Neighborhood
Music School (NMS) starts on January 30 with a wide selection of  music
and dance classes offering creative and exciting learning opportunities
for all ages, interests and levels of experience:

For adults looking to work off too much holiday cheer, there are tap,
ballet, yoga and Zumba classes.
For young “rockers” ages eight and up, there’s “Meet the Electric
Guitar,” which explores improvisation and the fundamentals of this
popular instrument.
Middle-schoolers with some experience may want to try out the NMS
Rock Ensemble.
Kids who love to move won’t want to miss the hip-hop dance class.
Very young music and movement fans can sing, dance and have fun
along with their parent or caregiver, while enhancing their motor, aural
and social skills in the “Making Music” classes.
Adults can join our popular beginner classes for guitar, piano, violin or
recorder.
We have a wide range of music ensembles to join, ranging in genre
from early music to jazz and rock & roll. We match each student’s
interests and experience.
NMS also offers private lessons on over 30 different instruments for
both children and adults. Beginning students as well as those more
experienced are always welcomed at the school.

For more information, visit the NMS website at www.
neighborhoodmusicschool.org  to see course descriptions and a full
listing of the Spring semester classes. Placement managers are
available during business hours at 203-624-5189 to help you find the
class that is right for you.
