Free Shakespeare 2012 holds auditions for Summer production of Romeo & Juliet
CT Free Shakespeare invites Equity and Non Equity ADULTS and TEENS to audition for this summers
production of Romeo and Juliet. Auditions are Tues. Feb. 21, Wed. Feb. 22 and Thur. Feb. 23 from 11 AM- 5 PM
at Bridgeport City Hall Annex- First floor- CT Free Shakespeare Office- 999 Broad Street, Bridgeport CT.
Rehearsals begin on Tuesday June 26 in Bridgeport CT.
All rehearsals are during the day. Romeo and Juliet opens on Friday night July 13 and runs through Sunday,
August 5. Prepare a brief monologue from Romeo & Juliet No Appointments necessary. Equity Principals are

Bridgeport Theatre Company in Downtown Bridgeport is holding an open call audition for The Music Man by
Meredith Willson. The show runs May 4 - 20, 2012 at Downtown Cabraret Theatre. Director: Joel Fenster;
Musical Director: Eli Newsom; Choreographer: Lauren Nicole Sherwood.
All roles open. Seeking a large, multi-ethnic cast of singers, dancers, and actors ages 8-80; full breakdown
below. Non-Equity, no pay.
If you attended our Season General auditions in July you do not need to re-audition. You will be contacted if you
are requested for callbacks.

Sunday, February 26th from 11am-3pm (sign-in begins at 10:30am, sign-in ends at 2pm)
and Monday, February 27th from 6:30pm-9:30pm (sign-in begins at 6pm, sign-in ends at 8:30pm).
Actors will be seen in order of arrival, with the exception of the actors who have secured appointments (see

Ongoing / United Girls Choir
The United Girls’ Choir is pleased to announced that auditions are currently being held for girls, ages 6-17,
from throughout the region at 341 Quinnipiac Ave, New Haven, CT 06513 weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00am–5:00pm. Auditions will be held during July and August,
and all interested girls are eligible to audition. No experience is necessary. Audition information and

The United Girls’ Choir is the fastest growing youth choral organization in the Northeast with chapters in
Killingworth, Branford, Cheshire, Clinton, Hamden, Madison, Milford, North Haven and Shelton. UGC has
collaborated with numerous local choral groups, including the Branford Chorale, the Clinton Choral Club, the
Trinity Boys’ Choir, and the University Glee Club, and has performed masterworks including Handel’s Messiah
and Vivaldi’s Gloria with professional orchestras. In addition, United Girls’ Choir choristers have performed in
venues such as the Shubert Theater and participated in several concert tours throughout New England

This comedy is performed by adult actors for children.
Auditions are open to everyone, no appointments needed. We will be reading from the script.
The production is directed by Marsha Howard Carp.
About the Show
Peter Rabbit lives happily in the Green Meadow, eating from Farmer Brown’s carrot and cabbage crops. His
sole concern is his name, Peter Rabbit. He doesn’t like it. Along with his friends — Jimmy Skunk, Sammy Jay,
Old Mr. Toad, Johnny Chuck, and others, he sets out to discover a new and more appealing name. Meanwhile,
Granny Fox is so hungry for barbecued rabbit, she sends Reddy Fox to capture Peter. Reddy makes a variety of
plans to trap Peter, but he is clearly outfoxed by the rabbit. But, in the end, it is Reddy Fox who helps Peter find
